About this deal

Dahmer attempted to make his victims like zombies, that would be unconscious and unresponsiveness but still breathing, which was unsuccessful and ultimately led to his victims deaths. Delving into the harrowing true story behind the Milwaukee cannibal, this thrilling true-crime book explores the life and crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer in unparalleled gritty detail.

But if you want more of a detailed psychological investigation into his mind, I am sure there will be more suitable books available. As a disturbing yet must-have addition to any collection of serial killer books, this true crime story will remind you of the seemingly ordinary people who walk among us – and the dark secrets they might be hiding. I did think that it was interesting to compare killers to try and understand why they did what they did, he immediately ruined this by waffling on after the point about information that does not matter. I feel that this was a lie to try and cover for the fact that Lionel didn't actually try to help Jeff.Featuring a vibrant rainbow design, and our super-sized Q logo, you won't find a more stylish way to make a statement. One of them is forever scarred/damaged by what he endured, the horrific experience of being tortured/raped by Jeffrey Dahmer. He definitely did need help but I also understand the pain he caused his victims and their families.

He came across as unbearably pompous and derogatory towards everyone working on the case, not just Dahmer himself. Each chapter (some merely a page and half) devoted to his victims was such a brief description and lacked any depth at all. While those who suffered unmeasurable pain, anguish and the loss of their lives are only remembered by their loved ones. Berry-Lee attempts to answer this question by exploring Jeffrey Dahmer's relationship with his parents and his early upbringing. His parents were not the best parents but they werent the worst either and they loved him despite all of the horrible things he did!

however i didn’t like how opinionated the author was from the start, and although i sometimes appreciate jokes / dark humour when appropriate to lighten the mood when speaking about heavy topics, i found the jokes in this book pretty cringe to be honest. With respect to excitement for knowledge and treatment outcomes that give us the ability to overcome and understand our own shortcomings that build greater peace and stability in our lives and families, and social responsibility and awareness and respect for children and families throughout the world. I also found that a lot of the time Christopher Berry-Dee referred to the book written by Brian Masters, I’m unsure if this was only because he hasn’t spoken to Dahmer in person while Masters did but at times I felt like I should have just picked up his book instead. He would be one person I would want to meet to prove he is not evil yet misunderstood and afraid of being left alone. Parental neglect and heredity (look into his mother’s mental illness, and his father’s scientific intelligence); look into his development as a child and experiences (he was molested, he became an alcoholic as a child, etc.Thank you to Ad Lib books and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. With a gut-churning account of Dahmer’s killings, along with the twisted mind that drove him to commit his sick crimes, Jeffrey Dahmer: The Terrifying Story of the Milwaukee Cannibal offers readers a detailed glimpse into Dahmer’s morbid and sadistic psyche.

Hadden eventueel plaatjes in het boek gekund, nu stond bij elk hoofdstuk het hoofd van Dahmer en die heb ik inmiddels wel gezien. He was not insane, he knew what he was doing was wrong, he made excuses up sbout the smells emanating from his apartment. Uh, let’s see: 1) My parents divorced when I was 5, my mother and 3 siblings escaping our abusive, alcoholic father literally under cover of darkness and with a police escort, to spend that first night away on the floor at my godmother’s house. Not sure how I feel about his death… Did he deserve to be murdered, or should he have lived in prison until the day he died naturally?Jeffrey Dahmer is one of the serial killers that I didn’t know too much about and this book was definitely a revelation. The first chapter of the book had very little information on Dahmer or anything really relating to him except for the number of muscles a body has, litres of blood etc. I liked that it was written from when born to his death and talked about what happened in his life that meant of triggered the way he was.
