First brewed for the legendary festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer in Chicago, drinkers enjoyed this Bourbon County Variant so much we bottled it the next year (2010). It pours a deep purple in color, has a dense fruitiness and a mid-palate with considerable tartness and a lingering, balanced finish. The result of this layering focuses this blend more in line with how we blend our BBT releases, with a showcase of our production over time, layering in age and youth in a way that can only come from time spent in barrel.

This wine embodies the House's style, remarkable for its bright fruitiness, seductive palate and elegant maturity. Many barrels were filled, very few were selected; now after over a year in bourbon barrels, followed by another year in apple brandy barrels, Double Barrel Assassin is finally ready. Moet Imperial is created in the heart of Champagne from more than 100 wines (of which 20-30% are reserve) carefully selected to enhance the champagne's complexity and constancy. These unique expressions allowed our ever-changing perception of what Barleywine is to be explored and revealed to you through our precise blending of double barrel-aged and triple barrel-aged Barleywine. Champagne also gets its name from the grapes used in production, most commonly including pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay at a 2:3 ratio (though variations such as blanc de blancs are made entirely from white grapes). was rested on Ugandan Vanilla Beans, adding layers of milk chocolate, decadent fudge and earthy vanilla to the rich, lucious body of this Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Caramel and toffee flavors blend together with bold notes of bourbon delivered in a smooth body followed by a malty finish.Brian (formerly of Goose Island), Tommy (formerly of Perennial) and Cory tasted through more than 50 of our bourbon and whiskey barrels in an attempt to craft the blend. The younger portion represents threads which were brewed right around the 2020 release in plan to become part of this 2022 blend.
